Circuit City RAM Drama
So the idiot at Circuit City sold me the wrong ram. I specifically asked if it was the appropriate ram for the laptop I was picking up at their store. How totally inconvenient is it to get home and have it be the wrong type.

Machine Class
Today I attended my first ever machining class. We learned to weld, cut, rivet and bend metal. (e:matthew) , I think you would love it. You could easily build the biggest fish tank shelf in the world.

Places to buy metal: The metal supermarket and Alp steel

Okay time to go play with the vaio before class.

Vaio Part 73
I hate sony. I should have realized this after (e:terry) ' s mp3 player and how much proprietary crap that we had to deal with. that mp3 player lives in the trash now. Luckily, the vaio will not suffer a similar fate but it is annoying that I can't use half the features like the function key shortcuts for brightness and sound, the wireless internet, the ethernet, etc. I am busy searching for drivers but it is such a pain and I have very little time right now. Next time I am going to forego style and comfort for something less proprietary. Maybe I will change my mind as the week goes on.

At this point I have the graphics card and the sound running. I completely formatted the driver to start again from scratch. Ok, time to install linux.
